In order to completely secure a school, the exterior and interior of the school must be protected from both internal and external threats. This can be accomplished by utilizing each of the following systems to provide our students with the protection they deserve.
 High security Medeco cylinders. Medeco cylinders provide a high degree of security by incorporating special design features inside each cylinder. Medeco cylinders offer superior pick resistance, excellent resistance against drilling and other forced attacks, large number of combinations and a utility patent to protect against unauthorized key duplication. This ensures only those you wish to have access to your school can get in.
 Secure Levers. The intruder function lever is keyed on both sides, and it can be set to either remain locked or unlocked from the outside while always remaining unlocked from the inside. Most classrooms already have locks that perform this, or a similar, function, but the intruder function lever is unique because it has the ability to be locked, or unlocked, from the inside with a key. This not only ensures that students can never lock faculty or staff out of the classroom, but, in the event of a lockdown, the doors can be locked without ever being opened. This not only protects both teachers and students from possible attack, but it reduces the amount of time it takes to secure your hallways.  Access control on exterior Doors. New technologies in electronic access control (EAC) systems allow you to have even greater control over your school and over who can enter. EAC systems allow you to automatically lock all exterior doors in an emergency situation by pushing a single button; keep track of who, when, and where your building has been accessed, and even tell you if a door has been propped open. EAC allow you to have the ultimate level of flexibility by giving you the power to restrict access according to schedules, adjust access levels, and add and delete users from your office computer.
 Tie it together with MP. The MP key combines the security of traditional Medeco locking systems, with the flexibility of an EAC all in one package. The high security mechanical blade allows you to have a high level of security on doors that may not warrant the monitoring and flexibility of an EAC system, but still require the pick resistance, key control, as well as the master keying capabilities Medeco locks provide. The proximity chip in the head of the key works with most existing access control systems and allows the user to carry only one credential for both their EAC and non EAC doors. Complementing you EAC system with Medeco security eliminates EAC audit trail bypass by picking, bumping, or copied keys resulting in unauthorized key holders.
