Electronic Access Control Systems (EAC) offers superior protection and flexibility due to its advantages in the areas of authentication, authorization, access and audit.

Authentication- EAC systems provide the end user with a high degree of flexibility to select various authentication methods. Such technologies as bio-metric fingerprint scans, proximity cards, magnetic swipe cards, or keypads, allow the end user to select a method that best fits their needs and current company practices. When any of these systems are used in a EAC system, they allow for superior authentication due to the ability of each credentials use to be monitored, and instantaneously deactivated in the event it is lost, stolen or compromised in any way.

Authorization- EAC systems offer the end user the ability to adjust and control authorization levels for each individual user. Access can be restricted giving only certain individuals authorization to enter certain parts of a building at certain times. This ensures only the individuals who are authorized to enter an area, can gain entry.

Access- When coupled with scheduling features, access rights can be restricted based upon, holidays, weekends, work schedules, and other special events. Access rights can be quickly altered in the event of a promotion or reassignment, giving you the flexibility and ease to keep your system relevant to your security needs.

Audit- Audit features of EAC systems provide the user with the ability to monitor the activity of every door in real time. Not only can you see when a door was accesses, or attempted to be access it, but you can tell what time the request to enter was made as well as who made the request. You also can be alerted when a door is propped open, or held open for an extended period of time. This helps you to identify suspicious activity sooner, and pinpoint who is responsible for internal problems when they occur.
